Upskilled is a company that provides online learning courses, leverage previous study, and relevant work experience to accelerate their students' progress towards a nationally recognized qualification. The Upskilled Education Scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who provides the most inspiring and well-researched application. They are looking for someone who shows enthusiasm for learning.
To apply, students must tell them in 750 - 1000 words why they deserve to win the Upskilled Education Scholarship and what they will use it for. All entries must be submitted as a Word document or PDF only, without any web links.

The Volunteer Forever Student Scholarship

Volunteer Forever is dedicated to enabling more students to study, volunteer, intern, and teach abroad. They know cost is often a barrier, so they have created the Volunteer Forever Travel Scholarship, which will award two scholarships in the amount of $500 and $1000 for anyone planning to engage in an international education program abroad.

The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship

The Recovery Village is dedicated to maintaining exceptional service while providing unique opportunities for education and personal development. As part of this commitment, The Recovery Village is offering a scholarship to students pursuing a medical-related course of study. To enter to win ths scholarship, simply submit a short essay (no more than 500 words) describing why you are passionate about substance use disorder and mental health treatment. Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship

The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in a $30,000 college scholarship or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning $5,000, these scholarships may be for you. The national first-place winner receives a $30,000 scholarship paid directly to the recipient’s American university, college or vocational/technical school. A complete list of other national scholarships range from $1,000-$16,000, and the first-place winner from each VFW Department (state) wins a minimum scholarship of $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. 
Download the Voice of Democracy entry form and brochure to submit your essay to your local VFW Post. Students should record their reading of the draft to an audio CD or flash drive. The recording can be no shorter than three minutes and no longer than five minutes (plus or minus five seconds). 
Entries begin at the Post level. Once the student creates their essay and completes burning the audio version to an audio CD/flash drive, they can submit their typed version, CD/flash drive and the Voice of Democracy entry form to their local participating VFW Post by the Oct. 31 deadline. 
Originality is worth 30 points: Treatment of the theme should show imagination and human interest.  Content is worth 35 points: Clearly express your ideas in an organized manner. Fully develop your theme and use transitions to move smoothly from one idea to the other. Delivery is worth 35 points: Speak in a clear and credible manner.

PCA awards scholarships of $1,000-$2,000 (depending on location) to high school athletes based on their responses to questions pertaining to how they meet the standard defined in Elevating Your Game: Becoming a Triple-Impact Competitor by PCA Founder Jim Thompson. 
Eligibility extends to any high school junior residing anywhere in the U.S. and playing for a high school team or in club sports! Even though the 2018 application deadline has been met, The 2019 scholarship application will re-open on January 1, 2019 and end May 31, 2019 for juniors graduating in 2020.

Denver Recovery Center Scholarship

At Denver Recovery Center, they’re passionate about helping individuals find their voices so they can begin anew with a bright future. The DRC believes that high school and college students play a strong role in creating and maintaining a healthier future. Through your knowledge, they can reduce substance abuse and addiction across the board. If you have a similar vision for the future as they do, they want to hear from you!

Bonsai Finance Scholarship

Disney College Program

  Disney College Program

The Disney College Program is a 4-6 month internship program located at the Walt Disney World® Resort near Orlando, FL and the Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, CA. This program has three key components - Living, Learning, and Earning:
  • EARNING: Participants work in front-line roles in our Theme Parks and Resorts, gaining real world experience and exposure to the operations of a Fortune 500 company.
  • LEARNING: Participants take part in college-level coursework and may have the opportunity to earn college credit.

Florida State University Service Scholar Program

The Service Scholar Program is a four-year, comprehensive, co-curricular program. Service Scholars will complete a minimum of 75 service hours per semester (45 hours for first-semester first-year students), participate in individual and group service projects, attend regular meetings, engage in coursework tailored to each year in the program, and promote community participation among their peers. The program includes an annual $2,400 scholarship, which is automatically renewed each year, provided requirements are met.
